Wild, bunt und verrucht – die Martini Night ist der extravagante Auftakt des SaarLorLux Burlesque Festivals. Eine Nacht voller kreativer Explosionen, sinnlicher Rebellion und atemberaubender Showmomente – mit internationalen Burlesque-Stars, die ihre ausgefallensten und frechsten Acts präsentieren.
Burlesque steht für die Kunst des Ausziehens…
… doch stehen nicht die nackten Tatsachen im Vordergrund. Die opulenten und kreativen Kostüme, das Spielen mit dem Publikum, die kurzen Geschichten, die erzählt werden – das ist es, was Burlesque ausmacht. Die Acts sind dabei so bunt und unterschiedlich wie die Künstler:innen selbst: verspielt, wild, kokett, ernst, kritisch, witzig, dramatisch. Der Fantasie sind keine Grenzen gesetzt.

Die Baker Street in Saarbrücken ist bekannt als Saarlands „Home of Burlesque“ und erinnert mit ihrem einzigartigen Ambiente an die Schönheit und Eleganz der Belle Epoque. We are beyond thrilled to welcome, for the very first (but absolutely not the last) time, Raketemieze — one of Germany’s biggest burlesque stars. A powerhouse host, sensational singer, and magnetic stage presence, she will guide you through the evening with wit, glamour, and perfectly timed mischief.

At the very first Kvääriklubi, we slip into the night in the spirit of an old‑world cabaret. The evening begins with a touch of gambling glamour as Lady Luck herself spins the bingo machine and sets the night in motion. Our bingo — and indeed the whole soirée — is hosted by the local drag queen Lettu.
When the clock strikes ten, the DJ’s music box whirs to life and keeps spinning until the lanterns dim. Throughout the night, the club crowd will be dazzled by the cabaret sensation all the way from the United States, burlesque artist Dorian Dietrich, as well as the electrifying, high‑voltage drag performer Kelly Babah.
Have your thirst quenched by the barkeep's specials, your late‑night hunger saved by the pub kitchen (open all night!), and your dancing feet encouraged by your fellow revellers. We warmly encourage attire inspired by the evening’s theme — the best outfit will be rewarded.

The entrance threshold is 5 cm high.

The event space is at the back of the restaurant. The floor level rises by a 16 cm step, and the doorway widths are 124 cm and 99 cm.
An accessible toilet is located at the front of the restaurant, connected to the women’s restroom. The door is reached via a 157 cm long gentle ramp. The toilet door width is 89 cm, and the toilet has support rails.

Moving with Intention: The Art of the Slowburn
Hidastaminen on tehokas tapa ottaa lava ja yleisön haltuun ilman vaativia teknisiä tanssiliikkeitä. Tässä työpajassa burleskiesiintyjä Dorian Dietrich (USA) jakaa vinkkinsä hidastamiseen samalla ylläpitäen vetovoimaisen energian. Löydetään mahdollisuuksia hyödyntää pysähtyneisyyttä ja pitää yleisö haltioituneena. Lopuksi opetellaan lyhyt koreo, jossa hyödynnetään juuri opittua ja jakaudutaan esittämään se ryhmissä muille osallistujille.
Dorian Dietrich on kiehtova voima sekä lavalla että kulissien takana, luoden nautinnollisen dekadentteja elämyksiä niille, jotka kaipaavat enemmän kuin pelkkää säihkettä ja glamouria. Vaikka hän on lähtöisin aurinkoisesta Kaliforniasta, hänen estetiikkansa tuo mieleen Weimarin ajan Berliinin savuiset kabareet – leikkikentän, jossa kaikki on mahdollista: hassuttelu, hehkuva viettely, sukupuoliroolien venyttäminen tai omalaatuinen ja lumoava ilmaisu. Hänet tunnetaan vangitsevasta läsnäolostaan sekä viettelevästä laulun ja stripteasen yhdistelmästä.
Dorian on laulanut ja riisunut tiensä halki Yhdysvaltojen ja Euroopan. Aiempiin esiintymisiin kuuluu festivaaleja ja esityksiä Kanadassa, Tšekissä, Saksassa, Italiassa ja Panamassa sekä Clevelandissa, Los Angelesissa, Minneapolisissa, Portlandissa, Seattlessa ja Tucsonissa.
Työpaja soveltuu sekä aloittelijoille että jo harrastaneille. Tarvitset mukavat vaatteet, joissa on hyvä liikkua ja jotka saavat olosi hyväksi. Tanssikorkokengät vapaaehtoiset. Voit halutessasi varautua myös juomapullolla ja muistiinpanovälineillä.

Moving with Intention: The Art of the Slowburn
Slowburn is an effective way to command a stage and the attention of your audience, without the need for technical dance moves. In this workshop, burlesque performer Dorian Dietrich will share their tips and tricks to slow down while maintaining electrifying energy. We’ll find opportunities to embrace stillness and keep your audience mesmerized. Finally, we’ll learn a short choreo harnessing what we’ve learned and perform it in groups for one another.
Dorian Dietrich is a tantalizing force both on stage and behind it, creating deliciously decadent experiences for audiences seeking more than glitz and glam. Although they are a product of sunny California, their aesthetic is evocative of the smoky cabarets of Weimar-era Berlin: a playground in which anything goes, whether it be silly, smoldering, gender bending, or eccentric and enchanting. They are known for their captivating presence, as well as their sultry brand of singing striptease.
Dorian has sung and stripped their way across the United States and Europe. Past appearances include festivals and shows in Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and Panama, as well as Cleveland, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, and Tucson.
Workshop is suitable for beginners and people who have already done burlesque. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in but that makes you feel good. Heels optional. You can also bring a water bottle and notepad if you wish.

Kaum eine Bühnenkunst ist so vielfältig wie die Burlesque. Die Urform des Striptease verpackt die Kunst der Verführung auf vielerlei Art und Weise: ob erotisch, elegant, geheimnisvoll, explosiv, augenzwinkernd oder urkomisch – der Fantasie sind hier keine Grenzen gesetzt. Silhouette was a queer club in Weimar-era Berlin. Frequented by such stars as Marlene Dietrich (Dorian’s namesake) and Anita Berber, this smokey nightclub was a haven for Berlin’s queers to show out in their chosen expression, and we aspire to be a space where everyone can feel empowered in their expression.
